The most important thing I’ve learnt is to approach a class without preconceptions. I was afraid of teaching teenagers, the last time I’d interacted with one, I was a teenager myself. I didn’t know what to expect from a high school’s class, I had so many preconceptions… “Teens are disrespectful”, “Teens don’t work in class “, “Teens can be a nightmare”… In the end, this observation showed me that we need to be open-minded enough so as to approach the class in the best possible way.
